Trial
To ensure you look and feel great for your special day, a trial is an essential step in achieving the perfect makeup look for you. Kathryn will listen to your requirements, ideas, likes and dislikes, and then set about creating a look that you feel comfortable with. Most brides like to keep a fresh, natural look, and this is always Kathryn's aim, yet at the same time she will enhance your best features. Or, you may prefer a more glamorous look, perhaps smoky eyes and false lashes.
The trial must be done in daylight as it enables you to see my work properly - artificial light is not ideal. I must work in daylight on your wedding day because if makeup works well in daylight then it will look good in any light, and most importantly in your photographs.
Using only high-quality, premium brands such as M.A.C, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Dior and Laura Mercier, Kathryn will create a beautiful, timeless look for you on your special day. The quality of the cosmetics and the professional application techniques that Kathryn uses ensures that your makeup will last all day and into the night.
Wedding day makeup
On your wedding day, Kathryn will arrive at either your home or chosen venue at the agreed time and re-create the look from your trial. Should you have had any ideas since the trial, then these can of course be discussed and incorporated.
Kathryn will arrive in plenty of time to make you and members of your bridal party look fantastic. Working in a relaxed and calm manner with Mums and Bridesmaids first, Kathryn will then apply your bridal makeup, ensuring that your makeup is fresh, beautiful and perfect for your big entrance.
Hair should ideally be styled before your makeup is applied, and you should allow approximately 45 minutes for each member of the bridal party to have their makeup applied, and an hour for yourself as the bride.
